Covid grocery distribution Aranthangi (Pudukkottai District)

With all your support, we have distributed family grocery kit to 20 needed families in Aranthangi.

Each kit contains Rice, Oil, Coriander powder, Chilli powder, Salt, Ghee, Turmeric powder, Toor Dal, Urad Dal, Sugar, Papad, Channa Dal, Rava, Vermicelli, Wheat flour, Cumin , Fennel seeds, Onion, Pepper, Cashew, Garlic, Methi and Raisins

COVID LEARNING SUPPORT – PHASE IV

Location: Kotagiri, Nilgiris District.

Date: 12.12.2020 (Saturday)

Materials provided: Storybooks, Stationery,Mask, Crayons, Workbooks, Biscuits

Supporters: Thoorigai Volunteers – Mr. Sukunthan, Mrs. Shanthi and Ms. Divya, Aim Reed Trust and Aaytha Siragugal Trust who were our friendly organisations who continue to support for all projects of the Thoorigai Charitable Trust .

Beneficiaries: 155 students from 4 schools.

The journey started from Coimbatore at 6.30 a.m and ended at 8.30 pm. The event was attended by Headmasters, Assistant Teachers, PTA Teachers from 4 schools and Village administrative officer – Mr.Meenakshi sundaram at S.Kaikatty School had participated in this event.Along with me my brother – Mr. Sabreesh, our Thoorigai volunteer Ms. Sneha and her sister Ms. Steffy also joined this event. We are very happy to provide educational stimulus materials to 155 students from Panchayat Union Primary Schools in S.Kaikatty, Hullathatty, Quinsholai and Hittakkal.

We encouraged children of 3 schools were we provided workbooks last time by giving 3 prizes per school to the children who completed our workbooks well. We were amazed to hear the comments of students that they were eagerly waiting for our new books. Our heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all the supporters who helped us to make this event a grant success.

COVID19 Learning Support Workbook

அனைவருக்கும் வணக்கம்!

நமது தோழமை தன்னார்வ அமைப்பான “தூரிகை” இணைய வழிக் கற்றலிற்கு வாய்ப்பில்லாத மாணவர்களின் கற்றல் இடைவெளியைக் குறைக்க “செயல் வழி புத்தகம்” கொண்டு வந்துள்ளனர்.

மாணவர்களுக்கு இந்தப் புத்தகத்தில் 50 நாட்களுக்கான செயல்பாடுகள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இதனை மாணவர்கள் சுயமாகவோ அல்லது பெற்றோரின் துணை கொண்டோ செய்து பார்க்கலாம்.
மேலும், இந்தப் புத்தகங்கள் நாம் தொடர்ந்து பங்களிப்பு நல்கி வரும் பள்ளிகளுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. எனவே, ஆசிரியர்களாலும் நமது அமைப்பின் உறுப்பினர்களாலும் மாணவர்கள் மதிப்பீடு செய்யப்படுவர்.

இந்த இக்கட்டான காலகட்டத்தில் மாணவர்களுக்கு உதவியாக இருப்பதற்காக இப்புத்தக உருவாக்கத்தில் குறிப்பிடத்தகுந்த பங்களிப்பு செலுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

இந்தத் திட்டத்திற்கு உதவ விரும்புவோர், ஒரு புத்தகத்திற்கான தயாரிப்புச் செலவான ரூ. 50-ஐக் கொடுப்பதின் மூலமாகவோ அல்லது தேவையிருக்கும் மாணவர்களுக்குக் கொண்டு சேர்ப்பதின் மூலமாகவோ உதவலாம்!

Our fellow NGO ‘Thoorigai’ have brought the ‘workbook‘ to reduce the learning gap for the students who do not have access to online classes.

Students will be given with workbook that have activities for 50 days.
They can practice it by their own and also along with parents support.
This has been given to school students whom we regularly support. So the students will be assessed by teachers and the trust.

Significant efforts have been put to produce this workbook. We wish this will be really beneficial to many students at this time.

You can support this by contributing 50 Rs for the cost of book or can provide this workbook to known deserved students

வரைமுறைகள்:

12 வயதுக்கு உட்பட்ட குழந்தைகள்தான் பங்கேற்க வேண்டும்.
5 நிமிடங்களில் கதையை சொல்ல வேண்டும்.
தமிழ் மொழியில் தான் கதை சொல்ல வேண்டும்.
எத்தகைய கதையை வேண்டுமானாலும் சொல்லலாம்.
குழந்தைகளின் சொந்த கற்பனை கதைகளுக்கு முன்னுரிமை உண்டு.

Help AIM to support the students for higher education!

I’m Bathurjaman, Founder of AIM REED Trust – non profit organisation running with the help of like minded people and doing a lot of volunteering activities towards Education as part of knowledge enrichment. Spending time for someone who is not related to you is highly remarkable. Beyond that, we are trying to support the students who are really wish to achieve something in their life in-spite of the financial barriers.

Back in 2005, I was in a position to drop my higher studies as I couldn’t pay my counselling and semester fee around 17,000 though I secured Top place in my educational district. But there were lot of helping hands came forward and supported me in paying my first term fee and then got bank loan to continue my studies. Even for bank, they need bonafide letter to prove that we are studying in a college and no college will be ready to give the letter without making any fee payment and this is where most of the students will be dropped out from studies.

I got a help on time which made me to continue my studies. I got a job which helped me to uplift my family and people around me. I really want this to be happening for many around us. So, I’m raising funds for the students who have approached us to support them for their education.

I expect that even normal family will struggle a lot for making financial arrangements during this COVID time. So, these students will really need support from a person like you for their studies and If you help them this time, it will be a big game changer in their life.
